Resusci Anne resuscitation manikin

Free to a good home: Resusci Anne brand resuscitation manikin (medical spelling – a life size medical simulator for people to learn and practice giving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. The face of the manikin is based on the unknown woman of the Seine, an unidentified young woman who drowned in the Seine in the late 19th century and whose death mask became a popular household ornament. The manikin has a fairly rigid, mostly plastic face and torso, fabric legs with plastic shoes and ankles, and folds up inside a plastic and metal carrying case.

We are open to transporting the manikin to a new home within easy reach of Leeds, and any potential recipients can come and have a look.

Background:

We are a medical museum. Several months ago, an unannounced donor dropped off a Resusci Anne branded manikin that they wanted to give to the museum. We thanked them but informed them that we did not want it for the museum, as we have several identical manikins and limited storage space.  After three months of regularly trying to contact them using the email address provided and a mutual contact, we informed them that we would seek to rehome the manikin if we did not receive a response within three weeks.

As the donor clearly wishes to be rid of the manikin, we are now seeking to find it a new home in some form of public-facing organisation, where it can be used for education, theatre, art, or any other public-facing activity.
